weekend projects

I just finished a  framed photo collage for my dorm room!
I bought a frame at Walmart for less than $10 and uploaded pictures to Albertson's online photo center and printed 68 pictures for $10. I love it, except it was sooo hard for me to choose which pictures!

I also made a magazine file holder out of a cereal box! I cut a double pack of Honey Bunches of Oats, wrapped it in pretty wrapping paper, and then started to add my own touch with notes from friends, quotes and pictures (:

Anddd, I dug out my thread and made some friendship bracelets! I did some normal patterns, like the candy stripe, but then I started to get more creative and make up my own knot-tastic designs (: I wanted lots of bright fun colors, and i didnt want them to look perfect!

oh and this is my front living room with all my stuff ready to go!!

woot woot exactly 30 days from today ♥

'Saturday Do' - Free People

One of the first things I do every morning (during the summer at least) is hop on Bloglovin and check up on all the wonderful blogs that I follow.

If you aren't following the Free People blog yet..do so now! They feature great lookbooks, fashion, inspiration, and my favorite, Wednesday DIY...and all super colorful of course (:

So, my point is that this morning I ran across their latest post titled 'Saturday DO' ... & here are some excerpts written by fp Naomi:

“Your gut will almost never let you down,” he said. And that statement has stuck with me ever since."
"So today, don’t second guess yourself. If a certain place, person, or action feels right to you – do it. I find instinct to be completely baffling and mysterious, but it is also undoubtedly a strong thing. Some may think that acting out of instinct is brash and reckless; they prefer reason and informed decisions. But creatures have survived all throughout history by living off of instinct, and that’s a high statistic for success that even reason cannot ignore."

images found a long time ago from various blogs, and I was such a newbie
I didn't know to jot down where I got them...so if you want credit, holler at me!

Please check out Free People people blog, and follow to be inspired daily!

a place where everyone is fabulous

okay so when you're walking down the street in any given place in Europe, does everyone seriously look like this?! the detail, the colors, the unique style...i want to dress like that! Why don't people here in the states, besides Lady Gaga, dress more outlandish and in their own world? The pictures I chose don't really reflect this statement, but they sure are fabulous.

It's just rare to see this much style consistently.

Then again, I am a bit fashion deprived growing up in a beach city in Orange County, where the day-to-day style consists of shorts, jeans, and occasionally a trendy top. I can't wait to get up to SF to just wear whatever I want! Because, *sigh*, unfortunately I do not have the courage to suddenly change my style on everyone who has known me for  years. On the other hand, it wouldn't surprise anyone either.

I am a worker bee right now, on day 2 of 5 in a row...weee! I guess its money though so I just have to keep reminding myself that. Ever since I got my laptop for graduation, I cannot seem to remove it from my lap! I sit in bed all day just perusing the Internet or watching movies on Netflix. It's a serious problem.

Lords of Dogtown

the backwards hat, the cut off shorts, *preferably no shirt*, and a skateboard in hand...

But its more than that. Its the 1970's in California, and all the boys just screw reality and take off to find the next best surf spot or a water-way to skate down. I love the carelessness and freedom they posses!

If you haven't seen this movie, add it to your list!
